Terramundus - Unique Contemporary Design and Sculpture

From an early age, design has been my driving force. At the age of fourteen, I was busy converting my bedroom into an Art Deco haven whilst my peers were busy perfecting their body popping routines. After studying Restoration at Portsmouth College of Art and Design, learning many a traditional technique from gilding to woodcarving, an opportunity arose for me to assist one of Britain’s leading sculptors, Philip Jackson. There I had the honour and pleasure of working on some of the finest monumental sculptures commissioned in the late 20th century.

A 4-year period with McLaren building the McLaren Mercedes SLR, a 200+mph super car, taught me techniques of high quality, low volume production along with using state of the art Formula 1 materials. These methods and practices are employed in all Terramundus designs.

Inspiration is a rare and wonderful beast. It can appear at the most random and inopportune of times and then disappear again for weeks if not months. However, when inspiration knocks at my door it is greeted with open arms and huge excitement. I find my inspiration in nature’s beauty and by experimenting and manipulating natural forms with the intention of bringing them from conception to fruition. My sole intention is to bring beauty and joy into peoples lives. I hope my products go someway in achieving that.

My work has been exhibited at the prestigious Goodwood Sculpture Park and the world renowned Pallant House Gallery.
